Resolutions? Why not give back to your community this year?

January 05

A new year is now upon us which brings with it resolutions and time for reflection. All of us are guilty of putting off one thing or another and if giving back to your community is one of the things on your list, there is no better time to start than now. There are hundreds of meaningful, worthy non-profit organizations in the lower mainland who urgently need help and support with Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver being no exception.

We challenge you to give back in 2010!

Donate: Do you have a few dollars to spare or are you looking for a unique fundraising project? Support Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver with a donation or collect pledges which will go towards the construction of safe, decent and affordable housing for families right here in the lower mainland.

Shop: In the midst of a home renovation project and concerned about your budget? Buy new and used building supplies for your home at 50-80% off by shopping at the Burnaby or Vancouver ReStore. Money from the ReStores go towards the construction of new Habitat homes.

Volunteer: Do you have a little time to give each month? Come volunteer at our Burnaby build site and help us continue our progress on phase 5 of our townhouse complex or pick up a shift at one of our ReStores and help us build cabinets, stock shelves and assist customers.

Even the smallest contribution of your time or support truly makes a difference to our organization. So what do you say? Are you up for the challenge?
